FAQ

Questions people actually ask.

Straight answers about the devices, how to use them, and what to expect. If yours is not here, the team will answer it directly.

Match the device to the area you care about. Somara One covers face, joints, neck and arms, so it suits targeted sessions. Core steps up to the upper body, back, legs and shoulders. Max covers the full body in one session. The Aura is a wearable mask for the face alone, and the Cap 306 is for the scalp, crown and hairline. The comparison table on the homepage puts all five side by side.

It varies by device. The Cap 306 runs six to ten minutes daily and shuts off on its own. The Aura is designed for three to four wearable facial sessions a week. The panels suit shorter, regular sessions rather than occasional long ones. Consistency matters far more than session length, so a routine you keep to beats an intensive week followed by nothing.

Do not look directly into the panel LEDs. The light is bright and staring into it is uncomfortable, so keep your eyes closed or turn your head during a session, and use eye protection if you prefer. The Aura is worn over the face with eye openings and the Cap 306 sits on the scalp, so neither points light into your eyes.

No, it should not hurt. Red and near-infrared light therapy is not a heat treatment, so you will feel gentle warmth rather than the burning heat of a sauna or a hot lamp. If a device ever feels uncomfortably hot, stop the session and contact us.

No. Tanning comes from ultraviolet light, and these devices emit none. The panels run five wavelengths from 630nm to 850nm, all in the red and near-infrared range, well outside the UV band.

Yes. Red and near-infrared light does not rely on pigment the way UV or some laser treatments do, so it is used across skin tones. If you have a skin condition, are photosensitive, or take medication that increases light sensitivity, check with your doctor first.

Light has to reach the skin, so expose the area you are treating rather than covering it with clothing. Distance changes the dose: Somara One delivers 143 mW/cm2 at three inches, 115 at six and 83 at twelve. Closer is stronger, and further back covers more area in one session.

Some people notice light shedding in the first weeks. It is commonly reported at the start of hair routines and is not a sign the device is damaging your hair. If shedding is heavy or continues well beyond the early weeks, stop and speak to a doctor, because that is worth looking at properly rather than working around.

No. The 306 laser diodes run at 650nm and are positioned across the inside of the cap to reach the scalp, crown and hairline without you sectioning your hair first. Wear it on dry, product-free hair and let the session run its six to ten minutes.

Light therapy is a routine rather than a permanent change, so the effect fades if you stop, in the same way that stopping any regular routine lets things return to where they were. Plan for it as something ongoing rather than a fixed course.

The Aura is moulded from liquid silicone with openings at the eyes, so you can keep them open or closed as you prefer. Most people find a session more comfortable with them closed.

Use it on clean, dry skin, before serums and moisturiser rather than after. Product sitting on the surface gets in the way of the light, and skin takes actives well afterwards. A full charge takes about two and a half hours and gives roughly eighty minutes of use.

Light therapy is cumulative, so think in terms of weeks of consistent use, not days. Skin and hair also work on their own cycles, which are slower than most people expect. If you want a realistic timeline for your situation, the team at Ahnah Clinic can talk it through with you.

Usually, yes. Light therapy is generally used alongside topical and prescription routines rather than instead of them. If you are on a prescribed treatment, confirm with the doctor who prescribed it before adding anything.

No. Somara devices are wellness equipment for use at home. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease. If you have a medical condition, treat this as something to discuss with your doctor rather than a replacement for their advice.

Yes. Somara is built for the Pakistani market, with local delivery, local product guidance and warranty service handled here rather than routed abroad. Contact us for delivery timing to your city.

By bank transfer. Half the total confirms your order and reserves the unit, and we invoice the balance once it is ready to dispatch. Account details come with your order confirmation, never over social media.

Every device in the range carries a five-year warranty, with support handled locally. Get in touch and you will be dealing with a team in the same time zone.

Yes. Somara is developed with Dr. Anmol and the team at Ahnah Clinic, and you can experience a panel in person there before deciding. That is a better way to judge one of these than any product page.
